I am sure you've seen this picture on pinterest or facebook, right?
I'm not sure what I tried, I'm guessing the one I did wasn't "pictured" here.
Mine called for 10 cups of water, 1 thinly sliced cucumber, 1 thinly sliced lemon, 1/4 cup basil, and 1/3 cup of mint. Obviously chop up the basil and mint too. So, that's what I did. You are supposed to let it sit overnight. I didn't have one of those pretty mason jars to let it sit in, I think that's what caught my attention with the post in the first place, all the drinks were pretty.
My step father was the guinea pig, I couldn't bring myself to try it first. It smelt good. He said it needed salt. But then it wouldn't really be vitamin water, right?
It does need something, but what? I'm not sure. I tasted mainly the mint that is all. Maybe this certain one just didn't fit right with my taste buds, maybe next time the raspberry one? But I know for sure I will not be giving this recipe to a friend.
See, I didn't have a pretty mason jar to let it sit in, but I was sure enough rocking my Joe's Crab Shack mason jar. P.S. I did not drink the whole jar, I actually chunked it all after trying it! |
I've never tried those recipes. I may have pinned them though. I often add cucumbers and lemon slices (some mint leaves if I have any) to my water. That's my favorite. My measurements are never consistent though. I guess 2-3 slices of lemon and cucumber to 24 oz of water. lol
